Koscielny To Turn Down Bayern And PSG

Even though Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny is still under contract for the next three years, the club’s management seems determined to extend his stay by offering him a new deal. According to the Mirror, the Frenchman and his agent are looking to sit down and decide what will happen after Koscielny’s contract will come to an end.

The Londoners seem confident the 28 year old defender will not want to move any time soon despite Bayern and PSG’s apparent interest in his services. His amazing season attracted the attention of many big clubs some of which are surely capable of matching if not increasing the French international’s current salary.

Arsenal’s other French defender, Bacary Sagna may not be as easy to convince though. The 31 year old has been going back and forth with Wenger who despite being keen on keeping the right back, has been leading tough negotiations.  After missing out on Serge Aurier, the Gunners are determined to keep Sagna by offering him a three year deal which is one year longer than their previous proposal. Hopefully the French international will agree on staying even if other important clubs such as Real Madrid or PSG have been linked to a possible move.

Sagna has been one of Arsenal’s main men this season and his exit could leave a big gap in the Gunners’ defense which is not as secure when Jenkinson is on the pitch.
