Joel Campbell Might Leave Arsenal Despite Finally Sorting Out His Work Permit Issues

Even though Joel Campbell finally joined Arsenal and can now make his Premier League debut, rumors have it that Wenger is interested in selling him to Milan in order to recover some of the cash they are about to spend on Douglas Costa. According to Metro, the Brazilian was already offered a deal which has yet to be analyzed by the Ukrainian side. Apparently, Costa is valued by Arsenal at about £16million which is not much more than they will probably ask Milan for Campbell. The Costa Rican, who recently posted some comments on a social media site hinting that he is determined to show Wenger he is worthy of staying on at the Emirates, could also spend yet another year on loan before finding out what his future holds.

Despite the fact that Wenger insisted he will not be transferring any other attacking midfielder or winger before the end of the summer, rumors have it that Costa is on his way to Arsenal. One other solution might allow both Costa and Campbell to be part of the Gunners’ squad for next season. Sanogo has failed to impress and might leave the Emirates on a loan deal until he manages to gain some experience. If that does happen, Campbell will likely have to stay considering the fact that Arsenal only have Giroud to perform as a box striker. Even though Sanchez, Podolski and Walcott have the ability to score, they are still better off playing behind the likes of Giroud or on the flanks.
