Is Liverpool Bad Boy Raheem Sterling Worth £50million?

Arsenal have been heavily linked to Raheem Sterling who is under contract with Liverpool until 2017 but will more than likely leave at the end of the season. According to Metro, the winger could be interested in a move to the Emirates where his chances of becoming a team regular are pretty big if he agrees to play on the left rather than the right. It would not be that out of reach for the 20 year old who on several occasions was featured as a left winger or a second striker. Even with Brendan Rodgers insisting there will be no departures after the season ends, signs point in a different direction.

The only problem with those signs is the fact that they also point towards a very large amount of money which might be out of reach for Arsenal. The most recent estimate showed that Sterling will be allowed left to leave for £50million. Even with all his talent and with the Gunners’ need for a winger, it is very unlikely the Londoners will ever spend that much on a 20 year old with an attitude problem. Wenger needs someone with experience and £50million would get him just that. Marco Reus, Di Maria, Pedro, Lavezzi or Arda Turan are just a few names that come to mind and could end up costing less than what Sterling costs.

Even though he would make a great addition to his team team considering how skillful and fast he is, he is a real handful in many ways. Maybe if Liverpool agreed to sell for somewhere around £20million, Wenger might be tempted to consider a bid.
