Is Bellerin A Better Replacement For Sagna Than Debuchy Or Chambers?

Is Bellerin A Better Replacement For Sagna Than Debuchy Or Chambers?

Wenger might have rushed things when signing Debuchy and Chambers who are both right-backs. The two cost Arsenal about £30m which could have been directed towards a different position if only Bellerin would have blossomed a bit earlier. The 20 year old Spaniard has blossomed during the second part of the season and showed no fear against Chelsea when he managed to keep up with Hazard and also assist the attack on several occasions. He looked like a complete player who with time will become a star-quality right-back.

According to Arsenal.com, Bellerin owes his versatility to the time spent playing for Barcelona’s academy where he was a winger. The youngster pointed out that he still feels the need to charge down the right side of the pitch right near the goal and create chances for his teammates. What is great about him is that he is more than capable of handling both offensive and defensive duties. Against Chelsea you could see how his impressive speed allowed him to go back and forth without leaving any gaps for Hazard to take advantage of.

The Spaniard looks like a great fit for Arsenal who need to give him the chance to improve. In a year or two there will probably be no doubt regarding who will be the number one right back at the Emirates. He has the speed, the technique and the stamina to handle the offensive duties and any defense. Hopefully he will stay away from injuries and continue improving and reach his immense potential.
