Hummels Really Not Interested In Premier League Move

Arsene Wenger can take his mind off of signing Dortmund’s Mats Hummels who insisted he will not leave the club. The German international who played a major role in helping Germany win the World Cup, snubbed all rumors regarding his possible move to the UK. Seen as one of the best center backs in the World, Hummels has been strongly linked to Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United since the end of the World Cup in Brazil. The 26 year old is fully dedicated to his club though and will not hear of any rumors about a possible transfer. According to the Daily Star, Hummels has a very unique approach to football and seems to be different to your average footballer.

In his recent statements he pointed out that he is very happy at Borussia Dortmund and that the idea of holding up the Champions League trophy is not the be all and end all to him as he does not need to be playing in the premier club competition in the world for him to be happy. He is not your average footballer with his feelings here, as many players give a lack of Champions League football as a reason not to go to a club.

Hummels is confident that Dortmund will bounce back after the recent sales and departures of some big players and that he will be able to stay there for as long as he wants. Arsenal were reported to be interested in bringing in the World Cup winner but were discouraged by the huge price tag attached to the center back. He is currently not only one of the best defenders in Europe but also one of the most expensive. Wenger will not be the only one disappointed with this news as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United also looked keen on signing the German.
