Henry has told the press over and over that his former club needs to spend more if they want to win the Premier League. The quality is there but there is always something missing. According to the Daily Express, Henry believes that it will be impossible to beat Chelsea in the long run as well as City and United due to the massive investments they have made in their squads. There have been few moments when either of the three had problems similar to those of Arsenals’ in terms of putting together a starting eleven.

The former French international looks convinced all title rivals will continue to invest which is exactly what the North Londoners need to do. Due to their restrictive transfer policy up until two years back the Gunners have a lot of ground to make up. Despite having some of the best players in the world, there is still something missing. Consistency and focus when it comes to big games are key and Arsenal lacked that during Champions League clashes or important Premier League fixtures against the lesser teams. The biggest disappointment is the fact that everyone knows Arsenal are capable of great things but they are always falling a little short. Henry is convinced that in order to resolve this issue, players like Cavani, Khedira, Dybala or Pogba should not be considered off limits. Hopefully the past two seasons have been a lesson for the club’s owners who really need to open their pockets and convince big names to move to the Emirates.
