Great News For Arsenal As Theo Walcott Is Set To Star In His First Post Injury Match

It seems that Walcott’s recovery has been going well and that the winger will be ending his recovery period sometime soon. After picking up a serious knee injury back in January, Walcott was desperate to return to the pitch but he will not do so before the end of August. Well-known for his somewhat fragile physique, Walcott will hopefully be ready to start in this season’s Premier League. According to the Daily Express, his presence was dearly missed by Arsenal who had a thin squad to work with during the last few months of the season.

Unfortunately for him, he will be returning to compete with one of the best, toughest and most talented players in the world. Sanchez has a similar profile to that of Walcott which means the two will not be present on the pitch simultaneously that often possibly. Despite being new to the Emirates, Sanchez is in much better shape both physically and mentally. Walcott will have to train twice as hard considering up until now his competition was Serge Gnabry.

On the other hand, Sanchez’s arrival could mean Walcott will finally have the chance to perform, in what he says, is his favorite position. He might just be the second striker Wenger was looking for in order to pair Giroud with. Fans will just have to wait and see. Hopefully Walcott will recover soon enough and he will make just as good of an impression as he did last year when he began the season dominating all of his adversaries.
