Gnabry Set To Stay At The Emirates

The young German international, Serge Gnabry has lost any hope of making more appearances than he did last year. Despite being one of the most promising youngsters in the Premier League, facing competitors like Alexis Sanchez and Walcott make it look impossible for him to make the starting line-up. Because of that and because of the fact that Wenger wants Gnabry to improve his game, a loan deal seemed imminent. Unfortunately for the 19 year old, an unexpected injury has come between him and Aston Villa which was his next destination. According to Metro, a knee problem prevents Gnabry from performing as best as he can. This has been going on since April which means it is something serious. With that in mind, it is hard to believe any Premier League side will try bringing in the German.

Wenger was hoping to test Gnabry and then decide if he is ready to go head to head with Walcott and Sanchez. In order to do so, he would have had to play on a regular basis which is impossible if he stays at the Emirates.

Hopefully for both Gnabry and Arsenal, the club’s new medical staff will handle injuries better. The Gunners have made one of their most important moves in decades by bringing in Shad Forsythe, who brings a new perspective to every Gunner who is out with injury. Even with the new medical man ready to work his magic, Gnabry is still expected to miss most of the first part of this season.
