Former Arsenal Striker Rejects £9milion Deal

Nicklas Bendtner has been one of Arsenal’s most problematic players despite spending most of his time on loan. Bendtner, who repeatedly stated that he is going to become the best striker in the world, is now a free agent after Wenger decided to drop him at the end of last season. According to Metro, nothing has changed with the 26 year old who is clearly not in it for the joy of the game. Apparently he refused a considerable offer from Eintracht Frankfurt who offered him a £9milion deal. He would have received a wage of £57,000-a-week which is nothing short of amazing coming from such a small team for a player with a dubious record at best.

The only reason for which Bendtner might have rejected the offer is to join Aston Villa. The former Gunner seems keen on staying in the UK which is the only place he has managed to score up until now. His Italian experience was unsuccessful unlike his loans with Birmingham and Sunderland where he managed to score every once in a while.

Bendtner spent an impressive 9 years with Arsenal, three of which he was sent on loan. In his almost decade long experience, he made 106 appearances and scored 24 Premier League goals which is an awful rate considering his position. Bendtner was often the most problematic player Wenger had to deal with and has always failed to meet the expectations of those around him.
