Former Arsenal Star Set To Return To London

The Gunners received great news from former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva who is keen on making a return to the place that made him one of the best players in the world. The Brazilian who turned 38 this year is still active and has yet to call it quits. According to the Daily Mail, Silva, who spent 6 years playing under Wenger’s supervision, received an invitation to start his managerial career within the limits of Emirates stadium. For the moment he turned down the proposal and insisted that he will still be able to perform at the highest level possible for one or two more years.

Wenger looks determined to surround himself with former Arsenal players in order to improve the quality of the youngsters who are raised at the Emirates. Players like Henry and Silva who were true leaders, would have a massive influence on the generations to come. Unfortunately, up until now both players mentioned before turned down offers from the club in order to pursue different roads.

Henry is going to get into the media business and will start working with a Sky Sports channel while Silva is still determined to play football. Hopefully at least one of the two will make a comeback and start teaching new players what it means to be a Gunner. Most of those who are part of Arsenal’s recent history lacked the dedication and focus seen on great players such as Henry and Silva who made the club invincible for the first time ever.
