Wenger has to move fast and also make some quick decisions regarding his transfer strategy. The club is in desperate need of new players and remaining passive and relaxed will only make things worse. Despite being only a month away from the transfer window, Arsenal has yet to find themselves the perfect players to fill in the gaps. Even if several talented footballers have been linked to Wenger’s side, none actually expressed their desire or their availability to come to Emirates. What is even more unfortunate is that players like Basel’s Fabian Schar are already in advanced talks with big European clubs who always seem to move faster than the Gunners.

Arsenal have never been the kind of club to wow the fans with their transfers. Even though this summer was considered a success, they still fell short and lost games due to the thinness of the lot. According to Metro, The Gunners were linked to Schar on several occasions but nothing really happened. Because no one from Arsenal’s management made the steps towards securing the 22 year old defender, Juventus have now taken the lead and will probably complete a £9.5m deal that will leave Wenger hanging once again. It is kind of a mystery why the Frenchman takes so long to act. Hopefully last year’s scenario will not repeat itself and Arsenal will end up with some players who can actually play and help the team see the season to the end without any major drops in performance.
