Dortmund Slap Outrageous Price Tag On Star-Striker

Unfortunately, Dortmund have recently announced that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is available for a massive price that even if met, might still not be enough to allow the striker to leave. Not only will the club that wants the sign the 26-year-old will have to spend massively but they will also depend on Reus whose future is going to influence that of his fellow attacker. The German side will only allow Aubameyang to leave if Reus stays which is close to impossible despite the fact that his contract is set to expire in 2019.

There is one question though that might make fans take their mind of off Aubameyang’s transfer; Why not push for Reus who is even better and even more suited for the left wing of Arsenal’s attack? The German was expected to leave for Bayern Munich last season but decided to extend his contract. According to TalkSport that points towards the fact that Reus will not stay in Germany. Liverpool emerged as a highly possible destination for the winger after Klopp decided to move to the Premier League. The problem is that they are practically on the same level as Dortmund which will not be a massive step for Reus. Barcelona was also seen as a possible destination but it`s hard to believe he will find a spot between Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Even if he can play as a second striker or an attacking midfielder, he still is at his best a bit closer to the goal. In terms of perspective and time on the pitch, Reus could not do much better than Arsenal. He would fill a massive gap on the left wing and would have no adversaries as Sanchez runs on the right and Walcott switches places with Giroud every once in a while. Unfortunately, Reus is very likely to cost around £50m which is £5m more than Aubameyang.
