Debuchy, Arteta And Paulista Back In Training

Debuchy, Arteta And Paulista Back In Training

Not all news coming from the infirmary seem to be bad for Arsenal. Despite losing Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Gunners will be happy to know that Mathieu Debuchy, Arteta and newcomer Gabriel Paulista will be back earlier than expected. According to TalkSport, the right-back will return in mid-April after spending almost three months recovering from a shoulder injury caused by Marko Arnautovic. It will be difficult for him to be back at full throttle considering he was kept back by an ankle injury as well before the shoulder incident.

Even though all three players will probably miss the 2nd leg of the Champions League knockout phase, it is still great to hear that three key players will be back for the remaining games of the season. Paulista’s return which is also the quickest apparently, will probably have the biggest impact on Arsenal’s game. The Brazilian, even though moving to London this winter, has impressed with his performances. Rumors have it that he will probably be featured in the clash Against Monaco despite just recovering from a hamstring injury which can be tricky to diagnose as fully healed.

Arteta is in the same situation as Debuchy and will return in about a month or so after dealing with one of the worst seasons of his career. Since August 2014 he missed 30 matches for Arsenal and was in recovery for almost 200 days. Hopefully he will be fully fit to help the team finish strong in this Premier League season.
