Cazorla and Walcott Sign New Deals

Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott have both agreed contract extensions with Arsenal.

Walcott is already Arsenal’s longest-serving current player at the age of just 26, and looks set to build a massive tally up from his already growing appearance list that currently stands at over 300.

Walcott has signed a new 4-year-deal believed to be worth around £140,000-a-week.

Cazorla has enjoyed another excellent year for Arsenal in 2014/15. He has made his name as one of the best attacking midfielders in the league, and in such time earned a call-up back into the Spain squad. Cazorla made more appearances than any other player last season.

Cazorla’s new deal has seen an extension of a further 2 years.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on the clubs official website:

“We’re delighted to have extended the contracts of Santi and Theo. Both are top quality players who are hugely important and influential to our squad.”

“As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We’re very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality.”

Meanwhile, two of Arsenal’s youngsters have left the club on loan.

20-year-old defender Isaac Hayden has joined Championship side Hull City for the season, and will hope to play a part in the Tigers’ promotion push.

17-year-old midfielder Dan Crowley has gone to League One side Barnsley until January.

So it looks like the Gunners will have the luxury of having Walcott and Cazorla in their ranks for years to come.
