Can Remy Solve Arsenal’s Woes?

The 27-year-old Loic Remy is currently on a season-long loan at Newcastle United, where he has smashed 13 goals in just 23 league appearances to keep the Magpies in the top half of the table.

Although Alan Pardew would love to keep the Frenchman at St. James Park next season, it is expected that there will be a wild chase for his signature due to his impressive scoring record this season.

According to Metro, Remy is expected to leave QPR with Redknapp revealing that the former Marseille striker wants to test himself in the highest level of club football. He said, “Remy wants to play Champions League football next season, so they tell me. The chances of us keeping him are not great if he’s got a buy-out clause.”

Wenger has employed the lone striker in his formation this season, and many believe that their number one striker Olivier Giroud has suffered from burn-out. There is no doubt that Wenger will be on the lookout for another striker to supplement Giroud, who has scored 13 goals in 29 league appearances.

Remy already has Premier League experience, and you can just ask Roberto Soldado how essential that is to progress in England.

Wenger will scour Europe to find a top striker, but a cheap and prolific one could just be available for Wenger, although Arsenal will need to ensure they can offer Champions League football.
