Burnley vs Arsenal -Preview & Prediction

After Arsene Wenger was much maligned as Arsenal dropped 5 points in their first two games of the season losing to Liverpool and tying with Champions Leicester, the French manager has proceeded to lead his side to four consecutive league wins as well as League Cup and Champions League wins. Arsenal are firing on all cylinders with Cazorla, Xhaka, Sanchez and Walcott looking particularly good. You can’t ignore the fact that the keeper Petr Cech as well as the whole defence has been pretty impressive too.

Arsenal face Sean Dyche’s Burnley on Sunday and recent history of this fixture played at Turf Moor suggest a low-scoring affair as the most recent three league meetings have produced a total of a mere three goals with two draws at 0-0, and 1-1 with a win for the Gunners most recently at 0-1. The Guuners should certainly not be over-confident at Turf Moor a place where Liverpool have already come a cropper losing 2-0 against Dyche’s well-drilled clarets this season already. To futher back-up their fine home form, the Clarets have conceded only five goals in their last 17 home league games, and in each game what they have conceded  has not been more than one goal.

There a number of things suggesting Arenal will do well on Sunday: Alexis has played a part in four goals in three appearances against the Clarets in all competitions, bulging the net three times  and laying on another goal for another team-mate; the much admired and much sought after young right-back Hector Bellerin has provided more assists than any other Premier League defender since the beginning of last season with 6 assists.

WIth Arsenal on this hot run they will be looking to continue it and will attempt to win five successive league games for the first time since last October. Something that Arsene Wenger will be fully aware of and desperate to equal or exceed hopefully.
