Brozovic Turns Down Arsenal For Loan Deal With Inter

Wenger is missing out on some of the players who were expected to come to the Emirates and cover the empty spot left down the middle of the pitch by Arteta. With Flamini ready to leave and with Coquelin a bit too unexperienced to maybe handle all the matches left until the summer, Brozovic looked like a great solution. Unfortunately for Arsenal, the 22 year old chose Inter Milan who delivered a 2 year loan contract with the possibility of changing the deal into a permanent one. It appears that one of the reasons for which he chose the Italians over Arsenal was the fact that his fellow compatriot, Mateo Kovacic is already there and will probably help with the acclimatisation process.

According to the Daily Mail, Wenger had been trying to sign Brozovic on a permanent deal for a couple of weeks now but was refused after making a £6million which was considered inappropriate for the player’s value. The Croatian midfielder who has impressed while playing for Dinamo Zagreb, did not speak about the possibility of ever joining Arsenal and sent a message to all his fans thanking them for their support. It appears that he already said goodbye and that Inter know they will provide a permanent deal at the end of the loan spell. It is not a surprising way of handling transfers as most teams started this sort of transaction in order to avoid some harsh UEFA financial regulations.
