Bendtner Ready To Jumpstart His Career By Moving To Germany

Danish international, Nicklas Bendtner who became a free agent after Arsenal refused to offer him a new deal, has reached an agreement with Wolfsburg. After a couple of unexpected situations in which Bendtner refused offers because they were not financially tempting to him, he finally decided to settle. According to the Daily Mail, the former Gunner has already made an impression since moving to Germany. When asked why he chose to play in the number 3 shirt, he responded that his mother told him so. The 26 year old who once said he should be the best striker in the world, is now seen as a mediocre player at best. Even Wolfsburg’s manager admitted that the club is not capable of pursuing top notch players thus implying that signing Bendtner is just an OK choice.

Even with his complicated personality, Bendtner might do a good job while playing for Wolfsburg. He has the stature and possibly the skill. It is pretty hard to tell considering he played 30 times in the past two years. The Germans will have to be patient with Arsenal’s former striker who always wanted to be the center of attention. He now has the chance to become the prolific striker he always said he will become considering he has little competition up front. Wolfsburg now depend on Ivica Olic who will turn 36 next year thus offering Bentner the chance to take his place.
