Bendtner Close To Trabzonspor Move
According to Metro, striker Nicklas Bendtner could soon be granted his wish to leave Arsenal as the Dane is reportedly in talks with Turkish side Trabzonspor over a permanent move before the end of the summer transfer window.
Bendtner’s career kicked off as a young highly rated talent in Denmark, but the lack of pace plus inconsistency in his form proved expensive for him in his Arsenal career. The Gunners faithful are supportive of their players, and they were in favor of giving Bendtner an extended run in the side. However, the lack of consistency in scoring and performances lead to fans being frustrated as much as Wenger, who had no other option than to send him on loan to another club to revive his form.
The attacker was recognized by the Arsenal youth academy in 2004, after having an impressive spell at his local club Kjøbenhavns Boldklub. He was part of the youth setup of the club, and his aerial ability combined with his finishing was enough to convince Wenger of his skills. Only a year into his introduction to the Arsenal academy, Bendtner signed a professional deal in 2005. His spell at the club was dominated by loan spells to Birmingham City, Sunderland, and Juventus. Bendtner played 99 matches in the Premier League for the club, scoring a total of 22 goals.
