Wenger will have a hard time deciding who to pick for the right-back position. With Debuchy unavailable, 19 year old Hector Bellerin got the chance to perform against two tough competitors. He impressed both fans and teammates and has become strong competition for the injured Frenchman. Arteta was the one who backed Bellerin. Arsenal’s captain looked confident that the 19 year old defender is the perfect long term solution for the Gunners. According to the Daily Mail, Arteta has always believed in his fellow compatriot who moved to London after spending 8 years with Barcelona’s academy.

It seems that Arteta has been a strong supporter of Bellerin even since the youngster came to Arsenal’s academy in 2011. The right-back impressed through his excellent technique and great pace. He apparently has the perfect attitude to become a first choice for Wenger who is currently counting on Chambers and Debuchy.

According to Arsenal’s captain, all Bellerin needs now is the chance to play. He will have to prove himself for more than two games though as Callum Chambers seems to be Wenger’s second choice after Debuchy. The great thing for Bellerin is that Arsenal have a lot of games ahead and will surely need to use a rotation system which will give all players an equal chance to perform. The 19 year old will also benefit from the fact that Arteta seems very protective of his fellow compatriot who can learn a lot from Arsenal’s captain.
