Arsenal’s Never-Ending Injury Streak Continues

Arsenal continue facing constant problems regarding injuries. The players are in and out of recovery with several of them not having the chance to play alongside one another for more than one or two games. This is not only affecting the game relations but it is also affecting the confidence and reliability of those who make their way on the pitch. According to Metro, the most recent names who made it to the injured list are Szczesny and Wilshere. They somehow managed to get hurt right when Giroud and Koscielny recovered. It has become common practice for the Gunners to work with what they have and always have players out recovering.

Most thought that this year was going to be different. The medical staff finally underwent some changes which most saw as very important and influential. Even so, Arsenal are faced with the same problem over and over again. They have even made it to first spot in one of the most undesirable competitions of all. The Gunners were on top when it came to most injuries treated in over the past 5 years. They were well ahead and will continue staying there if some drastic measures are not applied.

Players like Walcott or Diaby have been constantly injured and failed to recover properly each time. These situations have affected the club and will probably hit the hardest sometime during spring when the matches will have piled up. Hopefully making some decent transfers in January will help Wenger avoid such a situation.
