Arsenal’s Comeback Win Shows They Are Capable Of Anything

While the game against Ludogorets showed some issues Arsenal still need to sort out, it also showed that the Gunners have matured and have improved in almost every aspect this season. It was hard to be confident that Wenger’s side can come back from a 2 goal disadvantage especially when it comes to the Champions League. Now, it seems like it is just a matter of time until they turn games in their favor. One of the explanations behind that feeling is the fact that players like Sanchez and Ozil are consistently delivering on the pitch. They are world class and the fact that Wenger managed to sign them is really starting to pay dividends. The Frenchman knows what he is doing and has an amazing eye for players who are worth spending big money on.

We wrote about the benefit of having Sanchez around which goes far past goals and assists. Ozil, who proved yet again last night that he is an artist with the ball, brings something special to the game. While he may not have the same drive as Sanchez, he has the vision of a creative genius and now that he has added more goals to his game he has become even more of a threat and has made Arsenal into a truly dynamic side.

Many pundits and former players have banged on about Arsenal needing to sign a 30+ goal scoring striker before they can be considered a serious threat to win the League title. This year, however, between Walcott, Ozil, Giroud and Sanchez it looks like Arsenal have plenty of firepower and they are yet to feel the benefits from the unlucky Perez or the injured Welbeck. Both forwards could still provide a big boost to the club in the second half of the season if they can return to fitness on time.

Arsenal have had trouble in recent years retaining some players but it seems like those days are gone. With the performance of the team this year and the perception that players like Ozil and Sanchez are happy with their roles under Arsene Wenger it seems probable that other big names will think twice before refusing to join Arsenal just because other teams pay higher wages.

If the atmosphere at the Emirates remains the same and if the team continues to progress the way it has so far this year, Arsenal may well be primed to break through and claim major trophies like the Barclays Premier League title and the Champions League.
