Arsenal Youngster Shines For Ipswich

Ainsley Maitland-Niles made the news a couple of months back after an altercation with the club’s staff. What caught the eye of the reporters was the fact that his mother was the one causing the problems which were afterwards sorted out with the help of the police and a lot of understanding coming from the club. The youngster’s parent was banned from the club’s premises and promises have been made from both sides. Wenger insisted back then that what happened will not influence the player’s career path at Emirates.

That statement will soon be put to the test apparently as young Ainsley Maitland-Niles is getting better each day. The winger, who can also play as a central midfielder seems to have it all even though he has yet to face any serious adversaries. He has brilliant control over the ball and some amazing dribbling skills that do loads of damage while playing down the right wing. He is fast, quick to adapt and a joy to watch when given the opportunity to showcase his abilities. If only Wenger could find a way to move him to the left side of the pitch and transform him into a left winger or at least pair him with Coquelin so he can take on a similar role to that of Yaya Toure, Arsenal would get a serious upgrade in the years to come.

According to Metro, Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be in Wenger’s sights this season especially after being named the Player of The Month by Ipswich fans.
