Arsenal To Sign Possible Champions League Winner

There have been a lot of rumors regarding Paul Pogba’s departure from Juventus. As things have calmed down and the Frenchman did not hint towards a possible departure, Juventus seem to have found a way to keep the starlet in Torino. They will have to sell 27 year old Arturo Vidal who, despite being one of the highest rated midfielders in Europe, might be sacrificed in order to keep Pogba. According to Metro, Arsenal are the first team to start negotiations for the Chilean who could turn out to be the missing player that everyone was waiting for. Forget about Schneiderlin and Khedira. Vidal is faster, more determined and knows what it takes to win a Championship. His contract is set to expire in 2017 and even though he suffered a slight drop in form this season compared to last year, he is still a name that should be high up on Wenger’s transfer list.

Arsenal’s advantage comes from having Alexis Sanchez so well accommodated to life in North London. The fact that Sanchez and Vidal have the same agent is also a big advantage. The Gunners are rumored to have over £100m in the bank which they can use as a transfer budget. The Chilean is evaluated at £25-30m which is definitely not a reason to back down. If Wenger really wanted to spend just as much on Khedira or Schneiderlin, there is no real reason not to go for this transfer as Vidal is very much on a par with the German and the Frenchman . Adding Vidal and two other players to the lot would increase Arsenal’s chance to win all competitions. Hopefully Juventus’s midfielder likes the idea of playing in North London as opposed to the often rumored Manchester United who it seems were the team Vidal had to move to last off-season but the move never materialised and Arsenal are now looking like they have a good chance to sign him should he actually want to leave a side (Juve) which may well be celebrating a treble in a couple of weeks.
