Arsenal To Reorganize Transfer List

Arsenal will have to refocus their attention themselves after Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin announced he will not be leaving his club anytime soon. With the Gunners desperate to sign a defensive midfielder, Schneiderlin looked like the perfect target. According to Metro though, he will not be changing teams especially during January. Southampton players have had trouble in the past when it came to leaving. Some refused to sign a new contract just to be able to join a different club. The French midfielder’s situation is yet to be disclosed but one thing is certain: he will stay with Southampton at least until the end of the season. The 25 year old will probably refuse to extend his deal and will end up leaving when his contract is up which is in 2017.

Schneiderlin is facing a difficult decision especially not that he is still injured. On one side, the club is backing him up in order to help him recover and on the other side, they are preventing him from moving up. Arsenal would be a step up for the Frenchman who has yet to compete in the Champions League. Despite Southampton currently being in front of the Gunners and only 2 points away from third place in the Premier League, it is hard to believe they will actually finish in the top 5. The season is very long and will most likely affect the team’s ultimate finishing spot.
