Arsenal To Receive Transfer Boost From Madrid

Even though Arsenal have made themselves noticed on the transfer market and have become serious contenders for many names out there, they are still one step behind teams like Real Madrid who are ready to spend £100-150m per summer to bring in any player they consider necessary for the club to win it all. With that in mind, knowing that Real are out of the race when it comes to one of the best wingers in the world, cannot be anything else than good news for any team.

According to TalkSport, that is exactly what is happening right now with Arsenal who can start the bidding for German international Marco Reus. Dortmund’s player who is under contract until 2019 might end up being sold despite signing a new deal back in February. The former Champions League runners-up are going down-hill and have lost a lot of credit after a poorly managed season at the end of which they will lose Klopp. Hummels, Gundogan and Reus are probably to follow as Dortmund look more like a sinking ship every day.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, Reus’s new deal signed a couple of months back removed the winger’s buy-out clause which could have turned him into one of the biggest bargains of the summer. The rumored amount was around £20m and should have probably been paid by Wenger back in 2014. Now, the Frenchman could be asked to pay as much as double of what he needed to offer Dortmund last August. Even so, Reus looks like he is worth the effort especially with Arsenal having trouble finding a left winger.
