The 22-year-old Marcelo Brozovic who celebrated his birthday just a few days ago, is a typical box-to-box midfielder and he has caught the eye of Arsenal scouts. He represented Croatia in this summer’s World Cup and scouts from Arsenal saw him in action last weekend during Croatia’s 1-1 draw with Italy, as the Mirror report.

His agent had already confirmed that Arsenal are interested in Brozovic’s services and they could press ahead with a move in the January transfer window. The Gunners are in the market for a midfielder and £5 million for Brozovic seems a bargain.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho and Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira but Marcelo Brozovic would clearly be much more affordable.
