Arsenal Set To Close Deal With Chelsea

Chelsea seem to have decided to let Cech go after the 32 year old became a substitute for Courtois. The Belgian keeper was promised a place in the starting eleven which he got. Mourinho had to sacrifice the Blues’ former captain though who is now close to moving to Emirates. The North Londoners will make a £7million offer which could be enough to close the deal. The Czech international who has been at Stamford Bridge for nearly a decade is clearly not happy with his situation. It was either him or Courtois and the Belgian seems to have won. Mourinho insisted there will be no clear choice between the two but has leaned the balance towards the youngest player who despite lacking in experience, has proven to be if not better, at least on the same level as Cech.

According to the Daily Star, Wenger will have to promise Cech a spot in the first team in order to convince the 32 year old he should move to Emirates. It will be hard to do that tough especially with Szcsesny being a team regular for a couple of years now. Regardless of the fact that Cech will leave to join Arsenal or not, it is more than certain that he will not be playing for Chelsea next season. He is still young for a keeper and has many years in front of him, years which he will not spend as a substitute.
