Arsenal Receive Promising News From Schalke

Arsenal have received some great news from Germany where Schalke’s Benedikt Howedes is preparing to leave. According to the Mirror, the 26 year old is set on achieving his goal of playing in the Premier League. The moment seems right as well considering he will be reaching the last part of his contract this summer. Valued at about £18million this January, the World Cup winner would be the perfect investment to make. The only downside with his possible arrival would be his packed injury history which got him to miss consistent parts of every season he was featured on for the past 4 years. Considering Arsenal’s problems with injured players, Howedes could be a gamble. He would cost Wenger a lot of money and he could either be great or miss out on half of every season which is in no way productive.

On the upside, Howedes is experienced, versatile and well adapted to important competitions as the Champions League. He is also a declared fan of the Premier League and has made it his goal to get to play in the UK. This means he will be motivated and that he will give it his all to make it if he transfers to Arsenal. The Gunners will have to fight Manchester United for the German’s signature though as rumors of his possible departure sparked interest across Europe.
