The Gunners have set their sights on a new striker who is expected to move to the Emirates before the end of the summer. The best possible situation would be to bring in the Italian international to London before the winter transfer window closes. The 23 year old is already familiar to the Premier League where Chelsea are also interested in bringing in Roma’s striker. Currently one of the best strikers in Serie A with 23 goals in 52 matches, the £15million player will make a decision regarding his future probably during the next week. It only remains to be seen when he will be actually leaving Rome. With Sanogo and Podolski gone, Arsenal need a third striker to have around. Competition will reach an all-time high for the Gunners’ offensive line which is already one of the best in the world.

If Destro joins the North Londoners, Wenger will have a really tough time deciding who should start. Welbeck, Giroud and Destro have similar profiles and will not be able to play together. According to Metro, the mystery will be solved before the end of the transfer window as the player’s agent flew to London at the beginning of the week. Hopefully Arsenal will manage to also sign a couple of defensive players to fill in those massive gaps which appear when one or two defenders are out with injury.
