Arsenal Raise Expectations For Next Season

Arsenal will have to step up their game for next season when finishing second will not be an option. With massive investments in transfers expected for the summer and with a pretty large amount of money already spent on world class players, Gazidis is expecting only the best from the Gunners. According to teamTALK, Arsenal’s chief is well aware that this season is not going to bring glory at the Emirates unless Chelsea slip up. Next season though the Champions League and the Premier League trophies must be part of Wenger’s plan. The squad is shaping up nicely and it shows a lot of promise. Players like Sanchez and Ozil seem to have settled in. A few youngsters are also starting to show a lot of quality in their game which can only mean they will get better before the 8th of August when the domestic competition is set to begin again.

Wenger has a long list of transfers and even though the budget is not revealed, it is expected to be in the vicinity of what Arsenal had to spend last summer. With that in mind, fans can expect some major bids to be sent to big teams like Real, Napoli, Dortmund or even Liverpool. Hopefully some of the money destined for transfers will be invested in some additional medical staff members who could try fixing one of Arsenal’s biggest issues – injuries have played a big part in the Gunners’ course over the past few seasons and an upgrade is definitely overdue.
