Arsenal Preparing To Transfer From Barcelona

Wenger seems to have built a good relationship with Barcelona who are now negotiating another transfer to Emirates. Martin Montoya who has been featured in more and more games this season, is keen on leaving Spain in order to join a Premier League side. Arsenal and Liverpool are currently the only clubs interested in signing the 23 year old Spaniard who is still under contract until 2018. According to TalkSport, the right-back who was also featured as a left-back on several occasions, is thinking of leaving after failing to become a team regular. His place does not seem to be with Barcelona who will probably bring one or two new left and right defenders until the end of 2016. With that in mind, Montoya could accept the offer that will come from Wenger.

The right-back is so determined not to give in and not to accept anything less than a guaranteed spot in the starting eleven that he will very likely join the team able to offer him that. Arsenal could provide a very big chance for him to become the team’s number one left-back given Gibbs’s on and off form and injuries and Monreal’s desire to leave. Liverpool are also in the race to sign Montoya. Out of the two Premier League teams, it is hard to figure out which one has the biggest change of bringing the 23 year old to the UK.
