Arsenal Prepare For Massive Changes

It seems that Arsenal’s poor season finale might cost them more than they’ve expected. After Sagna, Podolski and Cazorla have hinted that they might not continue playing for the Gunners, French international Laurent Koscielny might be heading back to his home country. PSG and Monaco are set to make an offer for Arsenal’s main man who has had a great season next to Per Mertesacker. The problem is he is paid a lot less than some of this other colleagues. According to the Telegraph, Wenger is preparing a new contract offer for the Frenchman. The offer is similar to that made to Mertesacker last week when he decided to extend his stay on Emirates.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, that offer can easily be matched by teams like PSG or Monaco. Koscielny is set to receive £90,000 a week which is not actually that much for a player of his age and his skill. The 28 year old is also being monitored by Bayern Munich who could become a tempting destination for the defender. Just like the others who left London, Koscielny is in desperate need of some trophies. The Gunners don’t seem to be on the same level with the German side who might be a solid destination for Koscielny if he plans on winning something anytime soon if Arsenal fail to land the FA Cup.

The French defender signed his last deal back in 2012. His current contract will expire in 2017 which means a serious transfer fee will be needed to convince Arsenal to sell him.
