Arsenal Prepare £50 Million Bid For Cavani!

Arsene Wenger will reportedly be without striker Olivier Giroud for the rest of the year after the Frenchman suffered a broken ankle in Arsenal 2-2 draw with Everton. Wenger is determined to compensate for the loss by reportedly targeting a move for Edinson Cavani, who will cost Arsenal a cool £50 million.

Arsenal do have more options up front than last season, with Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell all able to operate as forwards. However, Wenger wants to purchase an orthodox striker so as not to derail his team’s chances of lifting the Premier League trophy come May 2015.

Wenger is desperate to add a striker before the transfer window closes, and the Express is reporting that Cavani is Wenger’s preferred option. The former Napoli hitman is unhappy at playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at PSG and could be tempted to move abroad.

Do you think Wenger will bring Cavani to the Emirates Stadium? Or will Loic Remy of QPR be a more realistic option?
