Arsenal Predicted Line Up vs Chelsea

Arsenal look ahead to Sunday where they face Chelsea in the Community Shield clash. Both sides will be desperate to claim the first bit of silverware of the season, especially the Gunners, who took the trophy last year in style with a 3-0 win over Manchester City.

Arsenal look like a much improved team from the one that set-out last season, so much so that they are now the favorites to take home the title this year against the English champions.

So let’s take a look at who could potentially play versus the Blues.

Petr Cech looks certain to face his former side, with David Ospina looking as the back up option.

In defence, Hector Bellerin looks likely to start at right back after an impressive pre-season. At left back, Nacho Monreal looks set to pip Gibbs to the starting XI. Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are almost certain to start at the heart of the defence, with a slight possibility that Gabriel Paulista could make an impact.

In midfield, Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey should partner each other in the centre, with Jack Wilshere likely to miss out.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla could well start on both flanks, even with the impressive Alex Iwobi raising eyebrows in the clubs pre-season. As for the centre, Mesut Ozil is surely the man to sit behind the striker. The German has been brilliant of late, and has been massively touted to shine this season.

Up front, Arsenal will probably look towards Olivier Giroud to lead the line, with a slight possibility of Theo Walcott being introduced in order to replace him as striker.
