Arsenal Looking To Increase Fan-Base With Barclays Asia Trophy Appearance Alongside Stoke And Everton

Arsenal will sign a deal with Thailand’s football association in order to play against an All-Star team made up of Thailand’s best players. This comes as an addition to an already done deal that will take The Gunners on a trip to Asia where they will take part in the Barclays Asia Trophy alongside Stoke and Everton. According to Squawka.com, the North Londoners will be going to Thailand which has become somewhat of a preferred destination for Wenger. The small tournament will take place sometime in July and it will be the perfect way to start the pre-season training period.

It has become a habit for Premier League teams to leave on tours for Asia where the fan-base is growing every year. Arsenal still have to catch up to Man. United and Chelsea who are ahead in terms of publicity and the number of fans cheering for them from abroad.

Getting in contact with different leagues from outside the UK could be very important for Arsenal. With FIFA’s new Fair Play regulations, big transfers are harder and harder to handle and balance out. Signing big contract deals with different companies helps a lot though and offers the Gunners the option of spending big just like Chelsea and United. Currently Asia seems to be the country to focus on when looking to attract more funds and to increase awareness regarding one of Europe’s most iconic clubs.
