Arsenal Looking To Forget Chelsea Stumble

Arsenal Looking To Forget Chelsea Stumble

Arsenal are facing one of Tottenham’s least spectacular team in years. Even so, Spurs show consistency in a way, after managing not to lose any of their last 5 games. The good news for Arsenal is that their adversaries have a goal scoring rate of 0.86 goals per game which should not cause too much trouble for the Gunners. Looking at both of the teams’ stats, this game might be interesting from a tactical point of view rather than from a visual point.

It is very likely that the loss against Chelsea will motivate the Gunners into showing fans how good they play when all 11 players are on the pitch. Unfortunately, Wenger will not be able to count on two very important players who are among the 4 featured on the injured list. Coquelin is out until the end of the month while Wilshere is still handling the fracture which is expected to keep him out until late December. Tottenham are missing some key players as well, making the balance pretty even.

Arsenal Injury list: Coquelin (knee, 30 Sep), Wilshere (fractured leg, Dec), Welbeck (knee, Feb), Rosicky (knee, unknown)

Tottenham Injury List: Dembélé (ankle, 26 Sep), Mason (knee, 26 Sep), Bentaleb (ankle, 17 Oct), Pritchard (ankle, unknown)

Probable Starting Eleven for Arsenal:

Ospina, Gibbs, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Debuchy, Ramsey, Arteta, Sanchez, Ozil, Ox-Chamberlain, Giroud.

Substitutes: Cech, Bellerín, Monreal, Flamini, Chambers, Walcott, Iwobi, Kamara, Campbell, Gabriel

Probable Starting Eleven for Tottenham:

Lloris, Trippier, Wimmer, Vertongen, Rose, Dier, Carol, Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane

Substitutes: Vorm, Walker, Fazio, Alli, Winks, Onomah, Son, N’Jie, Lamela, Alderweireld, Davies

Even though Arsenal will not be lining up their top team, with players like Cech, Bellerin and Walcott being rested, the odds are still in their favor and you would expect them to bounce back after the disappointment of the weekend.
