Arsenal Looking For Low-Cost Solution To Replace Flamini

Arsenal could bring in 25 year old Charles Aranguiz who has been observed by Wenger’s scouts for a while now. Sanchez’s compatriot who has yet to come into contact with European football has grown a lot in the past two seasons and is now one of the most interesting players to watch in South America. According to Squawka.com, the midfielder could come to London as a replacement for Flamini who is probably going to leave the Emirates in June when his contract expires.

Aranguiz is not only appreciated by Wenger but is also a close friend of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean seems to have a lot of faith in his compatriot who caught the eye of scouts ever since he scored against Spain in the World Cup. Since then, Arsenal’s boss, kept an eye on the left-footed midfielder who has not disclosed the contract he signed with Internacional. Valued at about £6m, he would be a sure and affordable solution for the end of the summer. If the Gunners fail to finally sign one big name to take over the defensive attributes in the mid-section of the pitch, Aranguiz could make the top of the transfer list. There is a long way to go until then and hopefully Arsenal will not have to make the 25 year old a priority. Francis Coquelin looks like a much better alternative if he can prove he really does belong.
