Arsenal Linked To Three Very Promising Transfers- Interesting Indeed!!

Rumors have recently centred on about Wenger’s interest for low-cost solutions and youngsters who although promising, so far are a little lacking the flair and star-quality players like Reus or Draxler have. There are few options for the Gunners on the market right now and that number goes even lower if we consider the positions that might need to be filled. While someone like Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez might represent a top choice, he would be of little use for the North Londoners who already have Ozil covering the attacking part of the midfield. If you consider the fact that a top-end player will not join a new team just to stay on the bench the transfer list goes even lower in numbers. Pushing the alternatives through all those filters reduces the options to probably a handful of players.

According to Metro, among that handful of players there are three names which could make the Emirates their next destination. First there’s PSG’s Jese Rodriguez. The young left-winger who just signed for the French side, has failed to adapt and would prefer to leave Paris this winter. He would be a good transfer for Arsenal who haven’t had a left-winger in quite a while. Wenger had to improvise with Ozil, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Iwobi and Sanchez in that position. Iwobi was probably the best fit for the wing but even he loves playing more central-facing football rather than raiding the wings. Jese on the other hand is at his best on the left and would also serve as a solid back-up for Giroud or Sanchez. He is fit, fast, efficient and eager to prove himself. If rumors got it right, he will be leaving PSG this winter with Arsenal being one of the possible destinations.

PSG offers the second transfer option as well in the person of defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak who is also having trouble adapting. The best thing about this 26-year-old is that he can play as a center-back as well which is a crucial position for Wenger. Krychowiak’s agent has a lot of links to the Premier League and it might be easier for him to transfer the Poland international to England rather than other locations. The downside is that Szczesny is represented by the same agency and we all know how unpleasant his last days at the Emirates have been.

Last but not least Arsenal are trying keenly to keep their activities private so they have the best chance of keeping everything undercover until the last possible minute. Apparently, Wenger has been chasing Greek international Kostas Manolas and even made a bid for him in the summer. If the Frenchman really did try signing Roma’s defender, there’s no reason not to believe he is still in pursuit of the speedy center-back who would be awesome next to either Koscielny or Mustafi. Unfortunately it is unlikely to see him signed by Arsenal during the Winter transfer window.
