Arsenal seem to have added a new player to their transfer list. After the press constantly linked Khedira to a possible move to Emirates, it seems the Gunners have two other alternatives in mind. Bender was one and the other has just emerged. Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin is according to Metro, Wenger’s next transfer. In desperate need of a defensive midfielder to help the likes of Ramsey, Ozil and Wilshere who are more focused on the attack, The Gunners could bid for the 24 year old Frenchman who already has 6 years of Premier League experience.

Even if rumors still say that Khedira is set to sign with Arsenal sometime this week, it is still safe to say Schneiderlin is an interesting choice. Recently surpassing the 200 match milestone for Southampton, the French international, could be looking to make the next big step in his career. Arsenal will have to pay £18million for the 24 year old who just became more expensive this summer when most of his fellow star-quality players from Southampton decided to join stronger teams.

Schneiderlin’s situation will be cleared up until the end of the week. With the Premier League 2014-2015 season just around the corner, Wenger will not want to wait as long as he did with Ozil. The Gunners need reinforcements and Khedira will have to make up his mind and decide if he wants to play on Emirates Stadium or not.
