The 24-year-old, Chris Smalling is not in David Moyes’ good books after recently being pictured on a night out with friends around 3am, even though he was sidelined with injury. He has also not done much on the pitch to endear himself to the Old Trafford faithful after controversially dressing up as a suicide bomber in a fancy dress party few months ago.

According to the Daily Star, Wenger is reportedly a fan of Smalling and was monitoring his situation at Fulham before Sir Alex Ferguson snapped him up for £11 million around four years ago. The England international has made over 100 appearances for the club but his time at the club could be coming to an end.

Wenger, chasing defensive recruitments in the summer, is prepared to fork out in the region of £13 million for Smalling’s services. With Moyes himself on the lookout for new central defenders in the summer, a move to Arsenal could well be on the cards for Smalling.
