Wenger has been an admirer of Jackson Martinez for a while now. The striker who for some reason is still in Portugal, has been scouted and targeted by several important clubs over the years. With an average of 30 goals per season, the 28 year old looks very tempting for the Gunners who could use someone like him next to Sanchez. The two would create a lethal couple which would probably score a lot of goals. According to TalkSport, signing Martinez will be a challenge. Liverpool and Tottenham are also interested in securing his services. The problem is that both teams are desperate for a new striker and could be willing to spend a lot of money to make the transfer. Arsenal on the other hand, have to focus on their defense and have little trouble as far as the attack goes. With Giroud back and scoring and with Sanchez in the best possible form it is hard to believe Wenger will go out of his way to bring in one more forward.

Martinez would make a great addition to the team possibly during the summer. Up until then, Arsenal need to strengthen their defense and prove that they are capable of getting through an entire season without using dozens of possible combinations among players. It will take some work but hopefully things will get sorted out as soon as possible.
