Apparently Balotelli is only a few steps away from returning to the Premier League. The Italian forward who was placed on the transfer list by Milan, has only one demand which is of the financial nature. According to the Daily Mail, the 23 year old wants a £100,000 per week salary which is just about what Arsenal were prepared to offer. With that in mind, it might be just a matter of time until the Italian decides to join the Gunners.

There is still a lot of doubt surrounding the Italian’s transfer due to his strange character. In Arsenal’s recent history, especially since the Wenger era began, there were no players so difficult to work with as Balotelli. Bendtner might have come close but he spent most of his rebellious years on loan which means he did not have the chance to mess with the atmosphere on Emirates.

Balotelli is well known for his erratic behavior which is the main reason all of the teams he performed for ended up regretting the transfer. Considering the fact that Wenger never seemed to deal with his players other than through respect and understanding, it is hard to believe the two will get along.

The Italian’s price dropped after his poor performance during the World Cup. AC Milan who were expecting £30 million for the 23 year old will now settle for a lot less which may be a chance Arsenal would like to take if they are certain they could make a profit in a year or two.
