Arsenal Bounce Back And Continue Unbeaten Streak But Only With A Draw

Arsenal lost two important points after a game which was dominated by the Gunners especially during the second half. The ball possession was overwhelming even if Tottenham were the ones with the opening score. It was an unfortunate night for the North Londoners who sent almost three times as many shots towards goal as Spurs. Kaboul and Vertonghen could easily be designated the most important players of the game. They managed to fend off most of Arsenal’s attacks and had a massive impact on the game.

Unfortunately for the Gunners, the fact that they missed out on transferring a new defensive midfielder was crucial once again. Flamini lost the ball just outside the box and Spurs got the opener through Chadli. Arsenal scored the equalizer after a very confusing attempt to clear the ball on behalf of Tottenham’s defense who were otherwise quite solid on the night.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was the one to finally get the ball passed Lloris who had a lot of work to do in the game and certainly earned his match fee. Arsenal continue their unbeaten streak but recorded their 4th draw in the last 5 matches. The Gunners should have won the game. It would have been a greet morale boost for the entire team who will have to face Galatasaray who will probably be their direct adversary for a spot in the next stages of the Champions League. Hopefully Wenger’s side will be luckier on Wednesday when they will have to face the Turkish side at the Emirates most likely without the injured Aaron Ramsy who sustained an nasty hamsring strain continuing his recent bad luck with injuries which will be q major disappointmen to the powers that be..
