Arsenal Announce January Transfer Budget

Arsenal are in desperate need of reinforcements. Despite managing to pull off one of their most impressive transfer campaigns in years, The Gunners are still far from feeling complete. There are huge gaps mostly in the defense which cost the North Londoners a lot of points. Fortunately the club’s management has approved a £20 million budget which should be enough to solve a problem or two until the end of the season. According to the Telegraph, January is going to be dedicated to signing at least one new defender to replace Vermalen who despite being mostly a substitute, left Wenger in quite a predicament when he joined Barcelona.

After failing to sign several targets this summer, the Frenchman is hoping to finally get someone to replace Arsenal’s former captain. Even though players like Bellerin and Isaac Hayden have been pushed in front, they still have a lot to learn.

Arsenal spent around £60 million this summer but have failed to address their biggest issue yet. The medical staff seems to be doing a poor job at taking care of the players. It is fair to say that the past few years have been less than unfortunate for the Gunners who have managed to reach a record 900 treated injuries in almost a decade. Currently, Wenger’s injured list could easily be the Gunners’ first team at any given time. Even some of the newest arrivals have been taken down by serious problems which is unacceptable for a club as important as Arsenal.
