A Close Look At Arsenal FIFA 17 Players Stats

With EA preparing the release of FIFA 17 by the end of this month, more and more players’ stats are being released. Arsenal fans now have the chance to have a look at their favorite players’ statistics which are somewhat disappointing for some of the Gunners. Despite the fact that some have received some serious upgrades, it`s still hard to understand what EA Sports took into consideration when they gave Debuchy a higher score than Bellerin for example or why Ospina is only a 79 despite some excellent performances.  Regardless, let’s have a look at how things evolved since last year’s game.

Just as before, the highest rated Arsenal player is Ozil. The German international gets a score of 89 and according to EA Sports, he is the 3rd highest rated player in the Premier League right after Ibrahimovic and De Gea. He shares the bronze medal with Aguero and Courtois who also have a rating of 89.

Cech comes in 2nd this year after getting a much deserved 3 point boost. He was bumped from 85 to 88 which is fair. He is now sharing 4th place for the most valuable keeper in FIFA 17 with Lloris and Buffon. Neuer, De Gea and Courtois are top 3.

Sanchez got a 1 point increase in stats, which makes him an 87. To be honest, he probably deserved more given his international performances and his influence over Arsenal’s game. He should have received more points in passing, physical and shooting.

4th place goes to Cazorla who also gets an additional point to his statistics which means he is now an 86. His upgrade is a surprise considering his age. What he lacks in pace (for some reason he got just 71 points), he makes up tactically and with his passing.

5th place is for Koscielny who showed at the beginning of the season he does deserve a 2 point increase. He is now an 85 and might get even higher next year.

Xhaka and Ramsey get the same score – 84 – It’s not that fair for the Welshman who, if not for the injuries, might have been right up there with Cazorla. He did get 2 points more than last year though.

Mertesacker, Mustafi and Giroud all get 83 points. The French striker’s performances from last year and probably his EURO performances got him 2 points more than in FIFA 16.

Coquelin, Monreal, Walcott and newcomer Perez all score 81 points. Coquelin gets a 3 point update, Monreal just one while Walcott keeps his stats. Perez might not be on the same level as these 3 though, not yet anyway.

Surprisingly Welbeck gets a 1 point upgrade as well despite his lack of game time. He is on the same level with Gibbs and Debuchy who are rated at 80 by EA. Given what happened last season, the next 4 players should have gotten their ratings swapped with their three teammates. Ospina, Gabriel, Bellerin and Oxlade-Chamberlain all score 79 which is not that fair. The Colombian keeper deserved at least an 82 point score as he is among the top 25 keepers currently playing in Europe. Gabriel should have received a 2 point upgrade instead of one. Even with his foolish tackles, he is better than Rosicky who last year had a score of 80 points. Bellerin is probably the most underrated player in this year’s game. The Spaniard is definitely an 82 or 83. Oxlade-Chamberlain also deserves better as he is not quite 4 points behind players like Jeremy Toulalan who are rated at 83.

Iwobi’s stats are also pretty disappointing. He gets just 70 points which is far from reality. Last year Flamini was rated as a 76 and had no impact on the team which is not something you can say about Arsenal’s young winger. Elneny gets a 74 which is what Bellerin got last year and Holding gets probably the most unexpected score of all as he is rated at 67. Clearly he will get a considerable upgrade with the next FIFA 17 update.
